Synopsis
A reimagining of Rapunzel, From a High Tower follows Giselle, an Air Master who spent fourteen years confined to an isolated tower by her controlling mother before finally escaping into the wider world. Left with few practical skills for ordinary society, Giselle disguises herself as a boy and finds she has an unexpected talent for marksmanship, allowing her to earn a living by entering shooting competitions across the American West. Her hard-won independence is threatened by the possible return of a man who once assaulted her, forcing her to weigh how far she can trust the new life and companions she has built against the danger that her past, and her mother's magic, might still be able to reach her wherever she goes.
