Synopsis
Eon: Dragoneye Reborn opens the Eon series in a land where twelve energy dragons each bond with a human Dragoneye, granting power drawn from the earth. Eon has spent four years training in secret hope of becoming a Dragoneye apprentice, hiding a crippled hip and a far greater secret: Eon is really Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl, since women are forbidden from practicing dragon magic on pain of death. On the day apprentices are chosen, the long-vanished Mirror Dragon reappears and selects Eon, elevating the newcomer to the rank of Lord despite fierce opposition from the ambitious Lord Ido. The choice destabilizes the court, where the ailing Emperor and his scheming brother, High Lord Sethon, are edging toward civil war, and Eon must hide her identity while learning to wield a power no one has controlled in centuries.
