Synopsis

The twelfth book of The Legend of the Ice People, published in English as Yearning. Villemo, with her fiery red hair and yellow eyes, is the most powerful of the Ice People for generations, and her supernatural gifts and passionate nature mean that no one can hold her back. Her passion for Dominic, another of the cursed members of the family, threatens her life, but she cannot resist him, and when Dominic is sent on a dangerous mission for the king, Villemo cannot help but follow. Threatened and hunted at every turn, the two must find their way out of a raging war and back home to their family and their future.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Legend of the Ice People): The original 47-volume saga (1982-1989) following the cursed Ice People clan across generations of Scandinavian history, marked by inherited supernatural gifts, a medallion-bound curse, and (in its later volumes) an underground kingdom where time itself runs differently. Two later continuations exist (a further ~35 volumes across two more parts, published years afterward) and are not yet catalogued here pending closer genre review.
