Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Carya lives with her parents in Arcadion, one of the few refuges left in a devastated world. The city is ruled by the religious order Lux Dei, and fear and superstition shape everyday life. When the lover of her best friend is arrested by the Inquisition, Carya acts in desperation to spare him from torture, and in doing so she becomes a target of the inquisitors herself. Her only hope is Jonan, a young Templar soldier who risks his own life for her.
