Synopsis
Fool's Fate closes out the Tawny Man Trilogy as Prince Dutiful must fulfill a condition of his betrothal by slaying the ancient dragon Icefyre on the remote, ice-bound island of Aslevjal. Fitz and his companions journey into genuine danger to see the prince through the trial, contending along the way with the enigmatic Black Man and the sinister Pale Woman, both of whom pursue agendas that threaten to derail the quest entirely. As old prophecies and new dangers converge on the frozen island, Fitz must decide what he is willing to sacrifice, once again, to protect Dutiful and reshape the fragile relations between the Six Duchies and the Outislands.
