Synopsis
In the summer of 1916, American heiress Ginger Stuyvesant works as a medium for the Spirit Corps, a secret British Army unit based at Le Havre. Mediums in the unit gather around circles to speak with soldiers who have just died, and pass what the dead saw and heard to military intelligence. Ginger is engaged to Captain Benjamin Harford, an intelligence officer. When he finds evidence of a German plot against the Corps and is sent to the front, Ginger suspects a traitor within the unit but is dismissed by her superiors. With little help, she has to work out how the enemy is targeting the mediums and stop them, while dealing with the prejudice a woman faced at the time and with the pain of the dead that she hears.
