Synopsis
On Umayma, a contaminated desert planet where the nations of Nasheen and Chenja have fought a holy war for centuries, Nyx is a former government assassin who now earns her living as a bounty hunter. When a deal between her government and an alien gene pirate collapses, she is hired for a covert recovery job: bring back a head that could end the war. Nyx puts together a crew of mercenaries that includes the magician Rhys, whose control over the bugs that power the planet's technology is shaky at best. The head they want could end the war.
