Synopsis
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final novel in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, published in 2007. It opens as Voldemort and his Death Eaters move to seize control of the Ministry of Magic and Harry, about to turn seventeen, is moved from Privet Drive by the Order of the Phoenix. After Bill Weasley's wedding to Fleur Delacour is disrupted, Harry and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger abandon their final year at Hogwarts and go into hiding to search for the remaining Horcruxes, the objects holding fragments of Voldemort's soul, needed to defeat Lord Voldemort. Guided by items left to them in Dumbledore's will and pursued by Death Eaters, they also learn of the Deathly Hallows, three legendary magical objects from the Tale of the Three Brothers said to grant power over death.
