Synopsis
In Turan, the demon general Iltericis captures a young man named Jalairu, who was secretly ordered by the Turanian king to assassinate Arslan. What he learns of Turan's internal affairs gives Iltericis a new ambition. In Misr, Hirmes, serving as a guest general, takes control of the kingdom but must march out when word arrives that Nabatea has been invaded. The female knight Esther, travelling toward the capital, is stuck in a town by rain when a demon army attacks, and Parsian elite troops arrive at the last moment. The Sixteen Generals are finally assembled, and the great terror returns.
