Synopsis
The robber Hotzenplotz is released from prison and announces that he wants to give up robbing for good. Kasperl, Seppel, Grandmother and Chief Inspector Dimpfelmoser are thrown into confusion, because nobody knows whether he means it. Hotzenplotz goes to Grandmother's house to apologize, but she does not trust him and locks him in her closet until he produces an official discharge letter. Dimpfelmoser stays suspicious, and Kasperl and Seppel set traps to watch for new crimes. Hotzenplotz says he wants to change, yet admits he has no skills except robbery. When he is accused of stealing a fortune-teller's crystal ball, he must hide from the police while the boys try to clear his name.
