Synopsis
After centuries of stability the balance among the Faery Courts has altered, and Irial, ruler of the Dark Court, is battling to hold his rebellious and newly vulnerable fey together. Seventeen-year-old Leslie knows nothing of faeries or their intrigues; she wants a tattoo, an image of eyes and wings, as a way to reclaim control of herself and her body. But the tattoo brings changes, not the kind she has dreamed of but sinister, compelling ones, and through the ink exchange that binds her to Irial she begins to perceive the world as he does and is drawn deeper and deeper into the faery world, unable to resist its allure and helpless against its perils, while a Summer Court faery whose very touch is a forbidden temptation tries to protect her. She must draw on her own strength to make a terrible choice. The second Wicked Lovely book, a companion to the first.
