Synopsis
When the fifth Trustee, Lady Friday, unexpectedly announces her intention to abdicate and invites any claimant to seize her Key for themselves, Arthur and his companions are transported to her secluded mountain demesne to compete for it. There they must navigate a realm shaped by Lady Friday's own peculiar obsessions and the rival factions and schemes jockeying to claim her position before Arthur can, all while Lady Friday's own intentions remain difficult to read. With the fifth fragment of the Will and its Key at stake, Arthur must outmaneuver both Lady Friday's lingering influence and the other claimants competing for the same prize.

Notes
- From the series record (The Keys to the Kingdom): Core Canon = all 7 novels of the completed series (Scholastic US / HarperCollins UK / Allen & Unwin Australia, 2003-2010). Confirmed a separate, unrelated universe from Nix's The Old Kingdom, already in this canon -- different world, different magic system, no shared characters; both records are cross-referenced as being by the same author.
Neighbouring works
Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
