Synopsis
Land of the Minotaurs, the fourth entry in the Lost Histories series, returns to the minotaur homeland introduced through the character Kaz in earlier Dragonlance novels. Set within the empire's capital and its outlying territories, the story follows a small minotaur encampment struggling to hold onto traditional minotaur values of honor and strength as the ruling powers in the capital city grow increasingly corrupt and self-serving. The novel explores the tension between the minotaurs' rigid warrior culture and the political decay eating away at their empire from within, using Kaz's ongoing story as a throughline into this deeper look at minotaur society. It broadens Dragonlance's portrayal of the minotaurs beyond battlefield antagonists, presenting them as a people with their own internal struggles, class divisions, and disputes over what their empire's honor should actually mean.
