Synopsis
Last Call follows Scott Crane, a professional gambler and grieving widower whose estranged father, Georges Leon, is a powerful occultist and former mobster who once murdered rival Bugsy Siegel to seize his criminal territory and, with it, the mystical mantle of the Fisher King. Decades earlier, Scott unknowingly took part in a magical card game with lasting supernatural consequences, and now, as a new round of that game approaches, his father seeks to use it to claim Scott's body and identity for himself. Drawn back into a hidden world of tarot-based magic centered on Las Vegas and the American West, Scott must confront the occult legacy his father left him and the players competing for power tied to the ritualized game.

Notes
- From the series record (The Fault Lines Trilogy): A genuinely interconnected secret-history/urban-fantasy trilogy set in modern California, built on a tarot/Fisher King mythology, with recurring characters across all three; Earthquake Weather explicitly converges protagonists from both earlier books.
