Synopsis
This collection gathers five stories, each of them a stage in the cruel and tumultuous history of the Old Kingdom, the world Jean-Philippe Jaworski created in Janua Vera and Gagner la guerre, two books its publisher already presented as classics of fantasy. Read together, the five stories open further chapters of that violent, intricately imagined medieval world, returning to it after the collection and the novel that first established it.
