Synopsis
Wizard's Row, the third Liavek shared-world anthology edited by Emma Bull and Will Shetterly, gathers thirteen further stories, along with collaborative pieces and song lyrics, from contributors including John M. Ford, Alan Moore, and Caroline Stevermer, continuing to build out the setting of the trade city of Liavek on the Sea of Luck. The volume deepens the recurring cast and locations introduced in the two earlier collections, including the district that gives the book its title, while maintaining the series' shared magic system built around inherited birth luck that must be invested in an object each year to be used. As with the earlier volumes, the individual contributions can be read as standalone stories while collectively expanding the city's history, politics, and magical customs.
