Synopsis
Linger, the sequel to Shiver, expands the perspective of The Wolves of Mercy Falls beyond Grace and Sam to include Isabel Culpeper, whose brother died in a wolf attack, and Cole St. Clair, a newly transformed werewolf with a troubled past he is trying to escape. As the surviving members of the Mercy Falls pack adjust to a changed and diminished group following the previous novel's events, tensions rise both within the pack and between the werewolves and the wary human community around them. Grace, meanwhile, begins to notice troubling changes in her own body that raise unsettling questions about her connection to the wolves, even as she and Sam try to build a life together despite the uncertainty hanging over both of their futures.
