Synopsis
The fourth and last Nola O'Grady novel finds the agent and Ari Nathan racing against kidnappers: members of Nola's family have been taken, and if the two of them cannot find them in time, their captors will murder them. The search runs through the San Francisco of the earlier books and into the alternate world-levels the O'Gradys keep falling through, with the Chaos forces of Apocalypse to Go still working against the balance Nola is sworn to keep, and Ari's divided loyalties between the Agency, Interpol and Israel still unresolved. Written on a tight deadline after the publisher agreed to one more book and announced there would be no others, it brings the series' long arc about Nola's vanished father and her unmanageable, gifted family to a conclusion.

Notes
- From the series record (Nola O'Grady): Katharine Kerr's urban fantasy of psychic agent Nola O'Grady of the Agency, an organisation so secret even the CIA does not know it exists, and her Israeli partner Ari Nathan, keeping the balance between Chaos and Order in a San Francisco full of werewolves, alternate dimensions and Nola's own unmanageable family. Four novels (DAW, 2011-2012); the publisher declined further volumes.
