Synopsis
Luka, Haroun's younger brother, is twelve years old when his storytelling father falls into a deep trance and faces certain doom. To save him, Luka travels into the Magic World, the land of magic and stories, on a quest built like a computer game: he must steal the life-giving Fire of Life and carry it back to the real world. Lyrical and rich with wordplay, the novel revisits the magic-infused, intricate world Rushdie first brought to life in Haroun and the Sea of Stories, and was written as a gift for his second son on his twelfth birthday.
