Synopsis

Maestro continues the Homecoming trilogy as Drizzt Do'Urden and his companions draw nearer to Menzoberranzan, with the barrier between the material world and the Abyss weakened and the Underdark increasingly overrun by demons. The demon prince Demogorgon roams free, posing a direct threat to the drow city itself. When Drizzt's companion Dahlia is captured and taken into the sealed city, Drizzt undertakes a dangerous attempt to rescue her, aided by the mercenary Jarlaxle, whose knowledge of Menzoberranzan's factions and passages proves essential. The novel follows this rescue effort against the backdrop of drow politics and old rivalries resurfacing as the group edges closer to the homecoming Drizzt has resisted for so long, with the demonic incursion adding new urgency to their approach.
