Synopsis
Inosolan, daughter of the king of Krasnegar, a small kingdom in the far north, grows up alongside Rap, a stable boy who is her closest friend. When she is old enough she is sent away to finishing school, and as the two of them come of age each discovers an unexpected magical gift. A charming suitor begins to court Inos, though his motives are more dangerous than they appear. In a world of goblins, fauns and imps, a mystery, a growing threat and the interest of the gods draw the pair into events far larger than their own lives. Adversity forces both to mature quickly, and their friendship starts to turn into something more.

- Internal chronology, within Pandemia: position 1 of 8: next The Cutting Edge (1992)
