Synopsis
Magic Study follows Yelena, who has recently discovered she possesses magical powers, as she travels from Ixia south to Sitia with her mentor Irys to help reunite kidnapped children with their families. She learns she may belong to the Zaltana family, separated from her over fourteen years earlier, and must confront her past and her uncertain place among relatives who may not accept her. Balancing her formal training as a new magician under Sitia's watchful Council with the pull of a family she barely remembers, Yelena also finds herself far from Valek and Ixia for the first time, navigating a society with very different rules about magic than the one she left behind.
