Synopsis
Maresi Red Mantle, concluding the Red Abbey Chronicles trilogy, follows Maresi as she leaves the Red Abbey and its island sanctuary behind to return to Rovas, her impoverished home village, carrying the knowledge and skills she gained during her years as a novice. She hopes to share what she has learned and help her community, but finds the village suffering under an oppressive ruler and too consumed with basic survival to have much use for the education she has to offer. As Maresi struggles to find a way to protect her people, drawing on the powerful magic of the Abbey where she can, she also navigates unexpected romantic feelings, complicating a homecoming she had not expected to be so difficult.
