Synopsis
Set nearly fourteen years after the Norsunder War, this cozy romantic comedy of manners follows Princess Sky Szinzar, who insists on her childhood betrothal to Lexan Glenereth, a landless boy, despite the scorn of her peers, led by Prince Garian-Rafael. At her coming-of-age ball she is abducted on horseback by the prince she dislikes most. What follows is a tangle of courtship and high politics across the Seven Kingdoms. The author describes it as a story about the second generation of characters from The Trouble with Kings, and it stands alone.
