Synopsis
Emras is a diligent student who becomes royal scribe to Princess Lasva, who is about to marry into the kingdom of Marloven Hesea. Secretly the queen asks Emras to look for signs of magic linked to Norsunder, a kingdom long thought to be legend. Her search leads her to a tutor in Marloven Hesea and eventually to a trial, at which she is called to give her account of events. The story is set about four hundred years after the Inda books and carries some of their threads forward.
