Synopsis
Andreus of Senna Lirwan finally begins military maneuvers against the neighboring kingdom of Meldrith, as many have long feared. While Wren is on vacation in Alat Los, agents from Senna Lirwan abduct Tess and kill the king and queen of Meldrith. Tess is drugged but rescued by a loyal servant, and she raises the alarm with summons rings. Andreus moves an army of more than a million troops into Meldrith. Wren and Tyron are sent to ask for help from Hawk Rhiscarlan, the same man who once worked against them, as the kingdom faces invasion and Tess must take on the duties of a ruler.
