Synopsis

Once he led the revolutionaries against a tyrannical lord. Once he had a beautiful wife. Once he was a hero. But that was before he was caught, beaten down, nearly killed and sold into slavery, and now he has nothing but hate and the chains of his bondage, the only weapons he has with which to escape. Set in Erlkazar, the novel follows the brothers Liam and Ryder of the Crimson Awl rebels against the vampire Shyressa of the Twisted Rune and Lord Purdun. The first book of The Fighters. The Fighters was a series of stand-alone adventures, each focusing on a different exotic fighting style of the Dungeons & Dragons fighter class and offering new readers an easy entry point into the Forgotten Realms.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
