Synopsis
In the second book of the Circle Reforged series, Briar and his student Evvy, a young stone mage, travel to a mountain community to investigate a series of unexplained seismic disturbances. As tremors continue to threaten the settlement, Evvy senses that the disruptions are connected to stone magic that has gone dangerously wrong, drawing on abilities she is still learning to fully understand. Briar supports her as she works to identify the source of the disturbances, while the two navigate the unfamiliar terrain and customs of a mountain people unused to outside mages. The book follows Evvy's growing confidence as a magic-user under Briar's mentorship as they work together to protect the community from further harm.
