Synopsis
College freshman Claire Danvers has learned that her town is run by vampires. To gain some protection, she has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in Morganville. That choice changes her life, and it does not make things safer. People in town begin to die, and a stalker from Claire's past returns to target her. Meanwhile an ancient vampire, a stranger to most of the town, invites her to private lessons at his home. Claire tries to keep her friends close while she works out who is behind the deaths and what the offer of mentoring really means. Along the way she uncovers a secret that could threaten the whole town.
