Synopsis
In the college town of Morganville, Texas, vampires and humans live in a delicate peace, and students such as Claire Danvers know to stay safe after dark. That balance is disturbed by the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-fashioned vampire who has no interest in the town's rules and wants to remain at the top of the food chain. He is also the father of Amelie, the founder of Morganville. Claire and her friends Eve, Shane and Michael are invited to a formal ball for vampires and their human dates. During the evening Claire begins to understand that the event is part of an elaborate trap that Bishop has set for the town's human residents.
