Synopsis
Anders is a lonely orphan in Stockholm, raised without affection by his foster parents, Aunt Hulda and Uncle Olaf, and longing for the father he has never known. Then, with the help of a Mrs. Lundy and a magic apple, he is carried away to Farawayland. There he learns that he is really Prince Mio and that the good King who welcomes him to his castle is his true father. For the first time in his life he is surrounded by love, companionship and adventure, and the story he tells moves between the wonders of this new country and his memories of the cold life he left behind. But Farawayland lies under the shadow of the wicked knight Sir Kato, and Mio slowly comes to understand that he is the one expected to ride out against him.
