Synopsis
Katie Chandler, the new marketing director at Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc. (MSI), joins the company's effort to stop a wave of spells that are causing chaos in New York. The wizard Owen Palmer suspects his rival, Phelan Idris, is behind them, because Idris's firm, Spellworks, is selling amulets that protect against the spells. Katie's public showcase of MSI's achievements walks into a long-planned scheme. To expose the true enemy she must look into Owen's past, and the outcome could cost her both the magical war and the man she loves. Katie is immune to magic, and Merlin and security gargoyles appear among the supporting cast. It is the fifth Enchanted, Inc. novel.
