Synopsis

The thirty-third book of The Legend of the Ice People, published in English as Demon of the Night. His name is Tamlin, and Tengel the Evil, the forefather who sold his soul to the devil and now wakes to fight his own descendants, has sent him to spy on the Ice People: he visits them in their nightmares and tricks their plans for the future out of them while they sleep. But Tamlin has not reckoned with young Vanja, whose talents are very special even by the standards of the Ice People. Where he is invisible to everyone else, Vanja can see him, and she falls in love with him.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Legend of the Ice People): The original 47-volume saga (1982-1989) following the cursed Ice People clan across generations of Scandinavian history, marked by inherited supernatural gifts, a medallion-bound curse, and (in its later volumes) an underground kingdom where time itself runs differently. Two later continuations exist (a further ~35 volumes across two more parts, published years afterward) and are not yet catalogued here pending closer genre review.
