Synopsis

Ninth House opens the Alex Stern series by introducing Galaxy "Alex" Stern, a twenty-year-old high school dropout and survivor of a violent, drug-soaked past who can see ghosts, a talent that has brought her nothing but trouble. After a brutal, unsolved multiple murder leaves her the sole survivor, Alex is unexpectedly offered a full scholarship to Yale University in exchange for a very specific job. She is recruited into Lethe, the university's secretive ninth house, whose task is to monitor the eight other ancient secret societies at Yale that practice real, dangerous occult magic behind their ivy-covered walls. First published in 2019, Ninth House belongs to the Ninth House (Alex Stern) series.
