Synopsis
Od Magic is set in the kingdom of Numis, centered on the city of Kelior, where a school of magic was founded centuries earlier by the powerful and unpredictable wizard Od, who still returns to it only sporadically after years of wandering the world. Brenden Vetch, a solitary and grief-stricken young farmer from the north, meets Od by chance and is invited to work as a gardener at her school, where he slowly begins to recognize that the despair he has always carried is in fact an untrained magical power. His growing abilities draw unwanted attention in a kingdom whose ruler and his paranoid wizard counselor, Valoren Greye, insist that magic be tightly controlled and licensed.
