Synopsis
The first volume of the prequel story in the Inquisitor world follows Mordimer Madderdin through the eyes of two people close to him: his mother, known as Piękna Katarzyna, and his mentor Arnold Lowefell, a member of the Inner Circle of the Inquisitorium. The story is set during a peasant uprising and also moves to a Persian sorcerer's stronghold, an Inquisitorium academy and the monastery of Amszilas.
