Synopsis

Paladin's Grace, published in 2020, opens in the city of Archenhold, where Stephen, a paladin left adrift after the death of his god the Saint of Steel, works as a guard for the Temple of the White Rat alongside other paladins from his disbanded order, all of them still coping with the loss of the purpose their calling once gave them. A chance encounter in an alley brings him into contact with Grace, a perfumer with a hidden past who is being hunted by dangerous people connected to her former life. Stephen becomes drawn into protecting her as her pursuers close in, and the two are pushed together by circumstance even as each carries burdens from their earlier lives that complicate the growing trust between them.
