Synopsis

This opens the second trilogy within the series, set in the students' fourth year at the School for Good and Evil. To graduate, they must each complete a personal Quest for Glory, and the story follows three former classmates in particular: Tedros and Agatha, newly installed as king and queen, who must restore a broken Camelot to its former glory, and Sophie, who instead pursues power as Dean of the School for Evil. Complications quickly arise when Tedros struggles to draw Excalibur from its stone, casting doubt on his legitimacy as ruler, while unexplained attacks begin plaguing the Endless Woods. A mysterious figure known only as the Snake starts menacing the realm from the shadows, and a charismatic rival named Rhian emerges, his true loyalties never quite certain. The book builds around questions of trust and betrayal, blurring the line between who truly counts as good and who as evil.
