Synopsis
Tarisai can see other people's life stories through touch, yet her own past remains a frustrating mystery to her, deliberately withheld by the mysterious woman she calls the Lady who raised her. Sent to the capital city of Oluwan, Tarisai competes for a place among the Crown Prince's closest council of companions, a role that would mystically bond her to him for life through a magical connection known as the Ray. As she navigates the competition and begins to form real friendships and rivalries among her fellow candidates, Tarisai starts to suspect that the Lady's plans for her, and for the prince, may be far darker than the honor she has been promised.
