Synopsis
Redemptor is the concluding installment of Jordan Ifueko's Raybearer duology. Tarisai now sits on Aritsar's throne as Empress Redemptor, tasked with appeasing the vengeful spirits of children sacrificed under the empire's old, unjust customs. To fulfill this duty she must form her own council of companions bonded to her through the Ray, fully embrace the scope of her inherited powers, and eventually descend into the Underworld as a sacrifice on the realm's behalf. As Tarisai navigates a precarious reign, she faces child spirits demanding recompense for imperial crimes, assassination plots from unclear sources, and a mysterious stranger whose loyalties remain uncertain, all while trying to protect the people she loves from the cost of her new position.
