Synopsis

Arslan has lost four of his Sixteen Generals, but he has no time to grieve. Neighboring powers, among them Misr and Maryam, are watching Pars for a chance to invade. In Turan, the demon general Iltherisch leads a demon army and waits for the right moment to devastate the kingdom. The Serpent King Zahhak has finally regained a physical body, and his threat draws close. Arslan faces his greatest crisis as his longtime rival Hirmes turns his hatred into a blade aimed at him. This is the second-to-last volume of the series.
