Synopsis
Jane Yellowrock, a skinwalker who has been a vampire hunter, is now trying to keep the peace between visiting groups of witches and vampires in New Orleans. Her house is then attacked with magic, and the search for those responsible leads to a long-buried mystery. A master vampire believed dead for years is found chained in a pit, undead and raving, with two human bodies nearby. Jane has to learn who hid him and why. The discovery threatens to push the city's tense supernatural factions into open arcane war, and she has to decide whom to trust while she looks for answers.
