Synopsis
In Adria in 1500, the elf Natil believes she is the last of her kind on Earth, and she is losing both her powers and her sense of purpose. She travels with Omelda, a nun who has fled her abbey, and their journey ends in imprisonment by the Inquisition. Natil then passes through a mystical gateway into Denver in the 1990s, where she is meant to guide a group of newly awakened elves. Chapters set in modern Denver, where two people are discovering their elven blood, alternate with the Adria story.
