Synopsis

Sightblinder is one of the twelve Swords of Power, weapons that can kill the gods who made them. It shows its wielder whatever he most wants or fears, and it is now held by a young farm boy who does not understand what it can do. Prince Mark of Tasavalta is captured by a griffin and imprisoned by the Ancient One, who also holds Mark's own Sword. His companions Ben and Zoltan set out to rescue him, and on the way they deal with a former queen, the boy with Sightblinder, a sorcerer's daughter and an enigmatic emperor.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
