Synopsis
Silverblind concludes the Ironskin trilogy and centers on Dorie Rochart, the fey-touched girl introduced as a child in the first novel, now grown and hiding her shapeshifting fey heritage as she pursues a career researching magical creatures and plants. Facing discrimination that keeps her from being hired as a woman in her field, Dorie disguises herself as a young man in order to work, and while searching for wyvern eggs she rescues a scientist and unexpectedly reunites with Tam Grimsby, a childhood friend she has not seen in seven years, since she was given over to the fey as a child. As Dorie rebuilds her friendship with Tam while concealing her true identity, the novel sets her against a backdrop of wyverns endangered by egg hunters and a fey population dwindling as human power grows, forcing her to decide where her loyalties ultimately lie.
