Synopsis
Six Scorched Roses is a standalone novella set in the world of the Crowns of Nyaxia series, centering on Lilith, a woman dying of a plague that the local gods have cursed her village with. Desperate to save her people, she strikes a bargain with Vale, a vampire who may hold the only possible cure: six roses traded for six vials of his blood, delivered across six visits. What begins as a purely transactional arrangement between a dying mortal and a creature she has every reason to fear gradually deepens into something more complicated, forcing Lilith to weigh the terrifying prospect of growing close to a vampire against the divine punishment hanging over her home.
