Synopsis
After killing her rivals, Gin Blanco, the Spider, has become the de facto leader of Ashland's underworld, a role she never wanted. Her job is to keep killers, crooks and thieves in line, but the other bosses are plotting against her. When someone tries to kill her during a secret underworld meeting, she realizes the attacker seems strangely familiar. The story centers on a deadly game in which keeping secrets matters most, and Gin must work out who is behind the plot before it costs her and her friends their lives. The novel is the book in Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series, set in the city of Ashland.
