Synopsis
Generations after the Storyteller Queen drove a demon out of a king, the demons remain locked beneath the mountains between two rival kingdoms, Kharuf and Qamih. One of them has spent the years plotting, and the prison is weakening. When a princess named Zahrah, called the Little Rose, is born, the demon curses her so that she must either give up her soul or bring about the ruin of her own people. Yashaa, a spinner and fighter who tells the story, joins three friends to carry the princess away from danger. Together with exiled spinners they try to break the curse before the demon can rule over human beings, while the two kingdoms move toward war.
