Synopsis
Lauscher is a young man in a fairy-tale world of kings, giants and wandering strangers. He is given a magic stone and a magic flute, which are meant to lead him to happiness. Naive and with little understanding of people, he uses their power carelessly and makes choices with serious consequences. Over the years he meets odd characters and endures hardships that change the way he sees other people and himself. His life story runs alongside a love story and is told as a long, episodic fairy-tale novel.
