Overview
Hans Bemmann published the fairy-tale novel Stein und Flöte in 1983, with the subtitle 'und das ist noch nicht alles'. It follows a young man called Lauscher (Listener) through an idyllic fairy-tale world. A magic stone and a magic flute are meant to guide him toward happiness, but his naivety leads him to misuse their power and make fateful choices. Strange encounters and hardships teach him about human nature, and his story is interwoven with a love story. It is a standalone book; the author's later trilogy Die Verzauberten is a separate work.
